Getting To Know Us

Our Thanks
Thank you for joining us!  We are always excited about meeting new people and we sincerely hope you feel our warm welcome.

Our Invitation
If you are not actively involved in another church, we would like to extend an invitation to you to join us as often as you can.  We enjoy our church and think you would, too.  In fact, we'd be happy to think you would considering making Providence your church.

Our Style
Our dress code is casual, even on Sunday mornings, and we think the atmosphere is warm and friendly.  We hope you agree!  Our desire is to present the great news about Jesus Christ in a friendly environment.

We like our music upbeat (and a bit loud perhaps), and we absolutely love our Praise Band.  This is the style of music that best enables us to connect with God in worship.  We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.  More importantly, we pray that you find your spirit drawn toward God as we sing together.

Each Sunday morning, with rare exceptions, Pastor Ron shares a Bible message.  These messages are designed to bring Biblical principles into everyday life in an understandable way.  We believe you will enjoy and benefit from his teaching each week.

Yes, we believe in Christlike living, personal integrity, and the absolute authority of the Bible.  We continually urge one another toward maturity in Jesus Christ.  But we're not a church full of perfect people.  We've decided to love each other "as is" and to provide support and encouragement to one another even when we fall short.  So, if you want a church family to challenge you to be all you can be in Christ, yet love you for who you are, we hope you'll take a closer look at Providence Wesleyan.

Our Families
Providence Wesleyan is very much a family-friendly church.  We have lots of kids and teens and young families and singles, and we also have a number of middle-aged and senior-adult members.  So, if you're looking for a church that will minister to your whole family, Providence Wesleyan may be the right place for you.

Our Ministry Team
Most of the ministry that takes place a Providence is carried out by our terrific team of volunteers.  Every member is a minister and we are looking for more and better ways to involve as many people as possible in the most satisfying and significant work of building Jesus' body, the Church.

Our Ministry Support Team
Our ministry volunteers are backed up by a support team of paid staff members.

O
ur LIFE Groups
We're certainly not a large church, but we're large enough to lose one another in the crowd sometimes.  The New Testament repeatedly tells us to encourage and minister to one another in ways we simply cannot manage in a Sunday morning worship service.  Sunday School and Wednesday evening activities are important because they help us connect with one another in more meaningful ways.  A still deeper level of ministry and relationship building happens in our various LIFE Groups that meet throughout the week.  We'd love for you to be our guest at one of the LIFE Groups.
