Our Mission
We believe God has called us .... to introduce
people to Jesus Christ and journey together in a growing
relationship with Him.
Our Beliefs
We believe in God - that He is one God revealed in
three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in Jesus Christ - that He is God the
Son who came to earth to die for our sins and rise again
to life, and that He will return to earth as King and
Judge of all mankind.
We believe in personal salvation - that each
individual must place his or her faith in Jesus Christ and
accept His salvation personally in order to receive
forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life.
We believe in Christlike living - that those who
receive new life in Jesus Christ are called to be like Him
in character and conduct.
We believe in the Holy Spirit - that He lives in
and desires to fill every believer and that Christlike
character is developed in the live of those who daily
yield to His power and guidance.
We believe in Christian fellowship - that
Christians grow in faith and godly character through
meaningful relationships with one another in the Body of
Christ, the Church.
We believe in the Bible - that it is accurate
and is the final authority for Christian faith and
actions.
We believe in the Great Commission - that God
wants all people everywhere to know Him and that the
purpose of the Church is to introduce people to Jesus
Christ and journey together in a growing relationship with
Him.

Dependence
on God
Believing
that our efforts and programs are totally ineffective without the
presence and power of God, we seek to make prayer a top priority
in our program scheduling and to encourage consistent private and
family prayer in the lives of our people.
Personal
Integrity
Believing
that we demonstrate our love for God through the pursuit of
personal holiness and integrity of lifestyle, we seek to model and
promote the highest ethical and moral standards.
Authority
of the Bible
Believing
that the Bible is the Word of God and the final authority on all
things pertaining to our spiritual lives, we seek to teach, learn,
apply, and live Biblical principles consistently to the best of
our ability.
Love
for People
Believing
that God's love and grace are to flow through us to others, we
seek to demonstrate grace toward all people by our words,
attitudes, and actions.
Spiritual
Relationships
Believing
that real ministry and spiritual growth take place best within the
context of vital relationships, we seek to structure our
ministries so as to promote ever-deepening relationships among our
people.
Shared
Ministry
Believing
that every believer is gifted by God for ministry within the Body
of Christ and that the vitality of our local church is dependent
on a broad level of involvement, we seek to pursue more and better
ways of training, enabling, and releasing our people for ministry.
Personal
Evangelism
Believing
that Christ has called us to "go and make disciples," we
seek to develop greater skills and methods of introducing people
to Christ and nurturing them in their personal faith.
Anointed
Preaching/Teaching
Believing
that weekly Spirit-anointed preaching/teaching is central to the
spiritual development of our congregation, we seek to structure
our ministries so as to allow adequate time for the development
and presentation of informative and spiritually-motivating Bible
messages.
Joyful
Worship
Believing
that regularly-scheduled corporate, celebrative worship brings
pleasure to God and is an essential element of our spiritual
health, we seek to make our weekly worship experience a high
priority in our scheduling, planning, and budgeting.
Cultural
Relevance
Believing
that God has placed us at this point in time in order to minister
to our contemporary culture, we seek to develop relevant methods,
means, and styles of ministry which best communicate the
unchanging gospel to our ever-changing world.
Unity
in Diversity
Believing
that unity in the Body of Christ is a matter of oneness of heart
based on core Biblical principles and does not require uniformity
of thought or style, we seek to develop an atmosphere of mutual
respect and cooperation among our people regardless of a wide
array of opinions on secondary issues.
Faith-Based
Decision Making
Believing
that God-honoring churches make leadership decisions based on
faith and vision, not on fear, we seek to move forward in pursuing
our God-given mission regardless of whatever challenges we may
encounter.
Social
Concern
Believing
that Christ's commands to "love our neighbor as
ourselves" and to be "salt" and "light"
in the world imply a strong social responsibility, we seek to
develop better and more practical means of both helping those in
need and resisting those forces which undermine the moral
foundations of society.
Global
Vision
Believing
that Christ died for all people of all nations and ethnic groups
and has called us to "go into all the world and preach the
gospel," we seek to broaden our awareness of and prayer
support for world missions, to challenge our people to personal
involvement in world missions, and to monitor prayerfully our
level of financial support for world missions.
Denominational
Relations
Believing
that our relationship to The Wesleyan Church involves certain
responsibilities as described in The Discipline, we seek to honor
and fulfill those responsibilities to the best of our ability.
Kingdom
of God
Believing that the Kingdom of God transcends
denominational, cultural, and doctrinal boundaries, we seek to
promote unity of fellowship among all who uphold the Bible as the
Word of God and embrace our Lord Jesus Christ in faith.
